App Review: Shopkick

If you like doing scavenger hunts and love free money, then ShopKick is the app for you! ShopKick is an app that lets you win points, or as they call it kicks, while you do your day-to-day shopping to earn gift cards from well-known stores. The first gift card I earned was a $2 gift card for Amazon. To earn it I had to get 500 kicks. Ways to get kicks include watching short commercials on the app, walking in stores, scanning specific products, purchasing the specific products and then scanning your receipt for proof of purchase or by inviting others to download the app. To earn the 500 kicks it took me about a month or so but that just depends on how often you go shopping at certain stores and what you shop for.
I enjoyed earning the 500 kicks because it was like going on a scavenger hunt around the store to scan the items the app tells you to scan. The items that ShopKick tells you to scan are items that are new to market so in essence the app was built to help companies advertise their new products. Some items that I have scanned are magazines, gum, nail polish, yogurt etc. And the best part is that, you do not need to buy the items to earn your kicks but if you do buy them you earn even more kicks.
You can also earn kicks by inviting people to join the app. If you invite them and they earn kicks within the first week, both of you get 250 kicks right off the bat.
So it's pretty easy to earn kicks and why not do it? It's free money to use on your favorite stores! Compatible stores with the app include Publix, Winn Dixie, 7-Eleven, CVS, Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot etc. And the best part is that, you can pick which store gift card you would like to earn. I picked Amazon as my first gift card because well,...you can buy anything...anything you want from Amazon. But some popular gift card options are Starbucks, Target, Wal-Mart, EBay, Papa John's etc. It's a cool app and I give it two thumbs up!

Out of 5 stars in these 3 categories this is what I would rate it:

Layout ★★★★★ It has a pretty functional layout
Ease of use ★★★★ Some items give you a hard time while scanning them
Value for money ★★★★★ It's a free app and you earn free money from it

Well, until the next app review peace and love peeps!
